SLIDESHOW: How Maine Experiences Fall
October 30, 2025
Abby Washburn, Writer
The air is chilly
There is wind, and a thought of frost,
Maybe even snow.
From green, leaves turn red
Gracefully fluttering down
Landing on the ground
(Abby Washburn).
Crunch them underfoot
Or jump into a big pile
As you stroll along
To have a sweet taste
Lets eat pumpkin spice things, or
Cinnamon apple.
(Abby Washburn).
Birds are flying south
Bears eat fruit, squirrels storing nuts
To prep for winter
This, of course, is fall
Looking like a post card here:
Small town New England
