The Emery Community Arts Center (ECAC) is an art gallery on the UMF campus that is loved by many and will not disappoint its guests. 

Despite pets not being allowed on campus, lots of students have what would be considered pets. This year students are seeing more animals across campus and different varieties.

Despite the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic put a heavy damper on the clubs at the University of Maine at Farmington, the campus has shown its resilience,with clubs bouncing back from their sorry state of affairs.

On April 15 and 16 UMF will be hosting filmmakers Chih-Hsuan Liang and Joe Duva who will be presenting their documentary Man From Pretensia and offer a workshop on the filmmaking style cinema verite to students.

“Are you queer or are you normal?” The UMF population is no stranger to being harassed with these questions by Ed, the local religious extremist, when crossing the street between the campus library and the student center.

Last school year Molly Ondich was a straight A’s student who was enthusiastic about school. She was engaged in her classes and an active member of Jewish Student Union. However, as time went on she began missing more and more classes.

Mallett Hall is one of two residence halls that will be closed for renovation next year.

According to The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), small animals, such as hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits, are much less likely to be adopted than dogs and cats. Franklin County Animal Shelter (FCAS) is sadly no stranger to this fact.

Lights, Camera, Action—the film club is back and taking the stage at UMF! The club is currently seeking any and all individuals that have an interest in creative writing, screenwriting, directing, and acting.

The first regular season basketball game for UMF was played Wednesday night, Nov. 16th, at home against the University of New England.

The third floor of Scott North is a raw expose on revealing the truths of college students life, with urine-coated toilet seats, the recurrent noise, smell complaints, and the constant stealing of random public objects such as the floor broom, the knob on one of the sinks, the fire extinguisher, a pumpkin in front of a dorm room, among others.

As the holidays approach, it is time for the students at UMF to take a much-needed break from classes and have some time off. During this time, many students will return to their homes. But, of course, there are always some students who stay on campus in UMF’s resident halls for either Thanksgiving or winter break.
